Education

          Michael is a graduate of Princeton University and Cornell Law School.

 Prior Experience

           Prior to joining the Firm, Michael spent over 30 years as a trial attorney for the Justice Department.  

     Litigation Practice    

          Michael coordinates and serves the litigation needs of the Firm’s clients.

          At the Justice Department, Michael litigated cases throughout the United States and in federal court. Firm litigation engagements which Michael has coordinated or assisted on have included, among others, employment discrimination, contract litigation, breaches of real estate acquisition documents, and intellectual property infringements.

                  Professional Involvements           

           Michael is or has been a member of the following Bar Associations and Sections within those Associations:  American Bar Association – Forum on Entertainment and Sports Industries and Section on Litigation.  Michael served on the Board of Directors for the Washington Council of Lawyers of which he is currently a member.

       Business Experience

           When not representing and advising the Firm’s clients on litigation matters, Michael is the principal of a documentary filmmaking company currently making a documentary on the issues of access to housing by people with disabilities.         

         Civic and Community Involvement

             Michael has also been an advisor to a Virginia organization that assists people with mobility disabilities in finding accessible housing and has recently joined a committee with a citizens association that is seeking to assure that the entire community is open to people with disabilities.

             Michael's interest in film has him involved in the Washington, D.C. division of Women in Film and Video as a screener for the American Film Institute Silver Spring, Maryland Film Festival, and a Talent Escort for the Kennedy Center Honors.
